Dr. Gautam Goswami, presently Scientist 'E' in TIFAC, did his Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemistry & Soil Science in the year 1997 from University of Calcutta. In the Ph.D. study, he has developed a methodology of dissolution of iron oxide from soil matrix, which has been accepted internationally. During his about 10 years research career in the field of soil chemistry, he has availed the Senior Research Fellowship of ICAR, CSIR and Research Associate Fellowship of CSIR. Dr. Goswami served three years in University of Calcutta in the capacity of Guest Lecturer for Post Graduates. Dr. Goswami got training on Remote Sensing from ISRO Institutes in the field of National Natural Resource Management System & Inventory and Management of Soil Resources. Dr. Goswami has written a Chapter "Dissolution of iron oxides by dithionite-carbonate-oxalate method" in the book Clays: Controlling the Environment, published by CSIRO Publishing, Melbourne. He has more than ten publications in reputed journals. Dr. Goswami joined TIFAC as Scientist C in the year 1997 and looked after the fly ash utilisation projects in the field of agriculture. Presently he is coordinating the Technology Vision 2020 Projects on Agriculture in TIFAC.
