Innovation programmes are designed with the specific objective of developing technologies, devises and systems useful to sectors, such as industry, agriculture, health and education. In a vast majority of these activities, TIFAC works very closely with the industry, academia and public research laboratories aimed to address specific sectoral problems, attempt employment of advanced technologies or bring-about technological advancements. Currently, the industrial sectors of automobiles, bioproducts  and bioprocess, advanced composites and the SME sector are being focused.
